Mavs honor sophomores in home game against Eastern

NOC Tonkawa dropped their final home game of the season Monday night to Eastern 87-80 on sophomore night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

Amber Brazendale led the Lady Mavs with 16 while Josey Carney and Courtlyn Traxler had 14 each.  Dani Milliner added 11 for the Lady Mavs.

NOC trailed the Lady Mountaineers 39-28 at half and 63-51 heading into the 4th quarter.

The Lady Mavs scored 29 points in the final period cutting the Eastern lead to 81-77 with :37 left but Eastern held on for the win.

Sophomores Amber Brazendale, Caitlin Busch, Kyra Criss, Laura Liberal, Jasia Malolo, Aryonia Mejia, and Ella Murphy were recognize with their parents and families.

The Lady Mavs (6-23) fell to 1-14 in league while Eastern (9-12) improved to 3-12.

What's Next:  The Lady Mavs end the regular season Thursday at Murray State at 5:30 p.m.
