NOC hosted Connors Thursday night losing to the Cowgirls 72-66 at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
Viola Tadja led the Lady Mavs with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Caitlin Busch added 17.
Amber Brazendale added 10 off the Lady Mavs bench. Josey Carney added six boards while Dani Milliner had six assists.
The Lady Mavs hung close to the Cowgirls at 58-56 early in the 4th when Connors went on a 9-2 run to take a 67-58 lead.
NOC would not get closer than five the rest of the way.
The Lady Mavs (6-22) fell to 1-13 in league play while Connors (6-18) fell to 4-10 in conference.
