Bodee Mausser homered in both games Wednesday as the Mavs split a doubleheader with Carl Albert winning Game 2, 19-17, after dropping Game 1, 8-7 on a windy day in Tonkawa.

The Mavs (18-20) improved to 6-12 in Region 2 while Carl Albert (25-16) is 6-8 in conference.

In Game 1, the Mavs rallied from an 8-1 deficit with six runs over the final two innings but lost 8-7.

Robert Evans hit his 6th home run of the year in the 7th to draw the Mavs to within one run.  Aidan LeMasters, Braden Hernandez, and Easton John had two hits each for NOC.  Bodee Mausser hit a solo shot for the Mavs.

Collin Berry, Max Coughlin, and Corey Jordan worked for the Mavs allowing seven earned runs on nine hits.

In the second game, the Mavs outhit Carl Albert 23-11 in a 19-17 slugfest win.

Mausser had four hits including his 8th home run and second on the day, driving home three runs.  LeMasters added four hits while Braden Hernandez added three hits including his 5th of the year.  Preston Gajewski and Jacob Bennett added two hits each.

Caden Orr (2-1) earned the win in relief with 3.2 innings of scoreless relief striking out three.  Brady Broeckel earned the save for the Mavs.
