Northern Oklahoma College Men's Wrestling Coach Bryan Kenney has accepted a position as the head women's coach at Northeastern State University.

Kenney helped restart the men's program in 2024.

"I want to thank everyone at Northern Oklahoma College and the town of Tonkawa," Kenney said.   "These past two years have been a huge blessing. Moving from Texas to Northern Oklahoma was a unique experience as I transitioned from high school to college coaching. The people we met and the relationships we made has helped our family call this area home. I am thankful for the grind and the special program we built at NOC."

"To our wrestlers — they are the reason this experience has meant so much," he added.   "They helped push me to continually improve.

Kenney had parting words for the Maverick wrestlers.

"I will always be proud of what we accomplished together and the men and women you are becoming," he said.  "We have our final push together as seven of our guys and women's team goes to nationals. As a family we thank you for being a part of "The Kenney Family" and being role models for our own kids."
