NOC opened the 2025-6 wrestling season with a 41-9 win over Barton (KS) on Saturday at Tonkawa High School.
NOC won eight of the 10 matches with Devin Williams, Tyzel Zachry, and Christian Clark winning by fall.
"I thougt we wresled well," said coach Bryan Kenney. "I was very happy that our wrestlers tried to implement some of the technigues we have worked on this fall. I think we are showing some growth as a program in that we are building depth in our wrestling room. Saturday was a great start to our season."
The Mavs wrestle McMurry (TX) on Friday night at 6 p.m. and then host the Maverick Open Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
