KATERINI, Greece -- Northern Oklahoma College sent three wrestlers to the U20 Beach World Championships, which took place at the foot of legendary Mount Olympus at the Aloha Beach Bar in Katerini, Greece, September 26.

Representing NOC were Sam Nam, Lane Gourley, and Waleed Khairi.

"We didn't make the placement matches, but I can't say enough about how proud I am of these guys," said Mavs coach Bryan Kenney.  "They placed at Beach Nationals, trained hard, and traveled to represent the USA at the Beach World Championships.  They helped take our program to the next level. We are just getting started."

"NOC wrestling was built to give athletes opportunities they didn't know existed," Kenney said. "Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen."
