Mavs Softball begins playoff action Wednesday against Rose State in the NJCAA South Central District Softball Tournament in Shawnee at the Firelake Softball Complex.

First pitch is set for 2 p.m.

If the Mavs win, they face the NOC Enid-Eastern winner at 1 p.m. Thursday.  If the Mavs lose, they face the NOC Enid-Eastern loser at 11 a.m.

6th seeded NOC Tonkawa (29-25) is 6-18 in league play while 3rd seeded Rose State (30-19) is 14-10 in conference.

The Mavs are led at the plate by freshman Paiton Hedges hitting .429 with 17 home runs and 59 runs batted in.  Faith Williams and Breeanna Gomez have nine home runs each, Williams and Jadison Ackerman have 42 runs batted in each.

Riley Westmoreland leads the club with 41 stolen bases.

Adisyn Peetoom (13-11) and Kaidince Calvert (10-8) lead the Mavs in the circle.  Peetoom leads with 15 strikeouts.

The Mavs lost all four games to Rose State during the regular season.
