Mavs rally for split against NOC Enid

ENID, Okla. -- NOC Tonkawa rallied past NOC Enid 5-4 after dropping the first game 11-3 at Enid on Thursday.

The Mavs (29-25) are now 6-18 in conference while NOC Enid (21-32) is also 6-18.

In Game 2, Jadison Ackerman stole home with the winning run in the 7th to lead the Mavs past NOC Enid 5-4.

The Mavs trailed 4-1 heading to the 6th when Paiton Hedges and Riley Westmoreland hit back to back home runs for the Mavs.

Hailey Schutz then doubled home Kailey Rich tying the game at 4-4.

Adisyn Peetoom (13-11) earned the win in back of starter Kennedy Zook.

In Game 1, the Mavs lost 11-3 to NOC Enid in five innings.

Brooklyn Ray had two hits for the Mavs while Faith Williams and Jadison Ackerman had one hit each.

Adisyn Peetoom and Kaidince Calvert worked in the circle for the Mavs allowing one earned run in five innings.

What's Next:  The Mavs are in the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament in Shawnee May 14-17.
