Mavs hold sophomore day against NEO

NOC Tonkawa fell to NEO 10-1 and 10-3 in a doubleheader on Saturday in Tonkawa.

The Mavs (28-20) fell to 5-13 in conference while NEO (25-19) improved to 10-10 in league.

In Game 1, the Mavs were outhit 8-7 and lost 10-1.

Jadison Ackerman and Caitlin Cooper had two hits each for the Mavs, Cooper added a double.  Brooklyn Ray drove in the lone Mavs run, a single that scored Rainey King in the 2nd inning.

Adisyn Peetoom and Kaidince Calvert worked in the circle for NOC allowing eight earned runs in seven innings.

In Game 2, the Mavs had rbi's from Ackerman, Faith Williams, and Breeanna Gomez in a 10-3 loss.

Kennedy Zook and Peetoom worked for the Mavs in Game 2.

Sophomores honored include Jadison Ackerman, Faith Williams, Kennedy Zook, Caidince Calvert, Kailey Rich, and Charley Carson.

What's Next:  The Mavs host Seminole on Thursday for conference games starting at 2 p.m./4 p.m.
