Mavs run rule Pratt in doubleheader sweep

NOC Tonkawa needed only 10 innings to post two run-rule wins over Pratt (KS) Monday in Tonkawa.

The Mavs improved to 19-11.

In Game 1, Adisyn Peetoom tossed a one-hit shut out while the Mavs pounded out 10 hits.

Jadison Ackerman, Caitlin Cooper, and Madyson Austin head two hits each for the Mavs while Cooper and Austin drove in two runs each.

NOC scored in four of the five innings against the Beavers.

Peetoom (9-5) fanned six and walked just one.

The second game was more of the same as NOC pounded 12 hits in an 11-3 five-inning win.

Paiton Hedges and Hailey Schutz each homered for the Mavs, Hedges drove in three runs while Schutz drove home two.

Riley Westoreland had three hits and two stolen bases for the Mavs.

Kaidence Calvert (6-3) allowed one earned run in three innings.  Angel Franklin worked the final two innings allowing just one hit.

What's Next:  The Mavs host Allen (KS) in a non-conference doubleheader March 26 at 2 p.m./4 p.m.
