IOLA, Kansas -- NOC Tonkawa snapped a four game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep of Allen (KS) Tuesday in Iola, Kansas.

In the first game, Faith Williams homered and drove in three runs in a 10-6 win.

Paiton Hedges, Caitlin Cooper, and Kailey Rich had two hits each for the Mavs.  NOC scored six runs in the 3rd and then put the game away with three runs in the 7th to take a 10-6 lead.

Adisyn Peetoom (8-4) allowed four earned runs on 10 hits.

In Game 2, The Mavs scored three runs in the 7th to rally past Allen 6-4.

Caitlin Cooper and Madyson Austin had big hits in the 7th to spur the Maverick rally.  Austin's single gave the Mavs a 6-4 lead they would not relinquish.

Hedges had three hits for NOC while Riley Westmoreland, Jadison Ackerman, Cooper, and Rich had two hits each.

Angel Franklin (4-2) earned the win in back of Kaidince Calvert.  Franklin worked 3.1 innings allowing one run.

What's Next:  The Mavs (17-9) are at Connors on March 19 in conference action.
