WILBURTON, Okla. --  NOC Tonkawa opened conference play Saurday losing two at Eastern 9-3 and 11-1.

In Game 1, Faith Williams doubled and homered but it was not enough in a 10-3 loss to the Lady Mountaineers.

Jadison Ackerman and Kaidince Calvert added two hits each for the Mavs.

Kennedy Zook and Adisyn Peetoom worked in the circle for the Mavs allowing six earned runs.

In the second game, the Mavs lost 11-1 and were outhit 9-2.

Williams and Caitlin Cooper had hits for the Mavs, Kailey Rich had the lone Mav run batted in.

Angel Franklin (4-2) and Calvert worked in the circle for NOC Tonkawa.

What's Next:  The Mavs (16-9) are at Allen (KS) on March 17.
