NOC Tonkawa dropped a doubleheader to Neosho (KS) on Wednesday 8-5 and 5-2.

In the first game, the Mavs rallied from a 5-0 deficit only to lose 8-5.

The Mavs trailed 5-3 and then 6-5 before Neosho scored two insurance runs in the 7th.

Paiton Hedges had two doubles for the Mavs while Caitlin Cooper added a triple.

Cooper, Brooklyn Ray, and Breeanna Gomez drove in runs for the Mavs.

Adisyn Peetoom (7-4) went the distance allowing three earned runs in seven innings.

In Game 2, the Mavs had six hits but lost 5-2.

Kaidince Calvert had two hits including a double and two runs batted in.  Faith Williams, Madyson Austin, Brooklyn Ray, and Kailey Rich all had hits for the Mavs.

Angel Franklin (3-1) worked seven innings allowing three earned runs on nine hits.

What's Next:  The Mavs (15-7) open conference play Saturday at Eastern in Wilburton at 2 p.m./4 p.m.
