GAINESVILLE, Texas -- NOC split with North Central Texas in a mid-week doubleheader in Gainesville, Texas, Wednesday.

The Mavs rebounded with a 9-8 in Game 2 after a 3-0 loss in Game 1.

In Game 1, NOC Tonkawa outhit North Central Texas College 7-6 but lost 3-0 on Wednesday.

Riley Westmoreland had three hits for the Mavs while Hailey Schutz, Jadison Ackerman, Caitlin Cooper, and Brooklyn Ray had one hit each.

Adisyn Peetoom (7-3) worked all six innings for NOC allowing three runs on six hits.  All three NCTC runs were scored in the 5th.

In Game 2, the Mavs rallied from 6-5 down to take the 2nd game 9-8.

Paiton Hedges had a big game with three hits and four runs batted in while Hailey Schutz had three hits and three runs scored.

Jadison Ackerman, Faith Williams, Justyce Booker, and Charley Carson had two hits each.

Angel Franklin (3-0) earned the win working 5.2 innings in back of started Kaidince Calvert.  

The Mavs outhit North Central Texas 16-10.

What's Next:  The Mavs host Neosho (KS) on March 11.
