Mavs explode for 27 runs in two wins at Carl Albert

POTEAU, Oklahoma --  NOC Tonkawa scored 27 runs in two games at the Carl Albert Festival Friday in Poteau.  The Mavs beat Southwest Tennessee 14-1 and Carl Albert 13-5.

Game 1

NOC pounded 20 hits and 14 runs in a 14-1 whitewash of Southwest Tennessee Friday at Carl Albert.

Paiton Hedges had two home runs and four runs batted in and Caitlin Cooper had four hits and five runs batted in.

Faith Williams had three hits while Breeanna Gomez and Saffron Bowie added two hits each.  Gomez also had a home run for the Mavs.

Adisyn Peetoom allowed four hits and struck out two over four innings.  Kennedy Zook worked the final inning for NOC.

In Game 2, Cooper had two doubles and three runs batted in while Hedges hit her 7th home run of the season.

Williams had three hits while Cooper, Hedges, and Braxten Newton had two hits each.

Angel Franklin worked 3.2 innings with bullpen help from Kaidince Calvert.
