The NOC Mavs blasted another five home runs in a double header sweep over Independence (KS) on Thursday.

NOC won the first game 12-1 and the nightcap 14-6.

Game 1

Paiton Hedges Grand Slam pushed the Mavs to a 12-1 run rule win over independence in Game 1.

The Mavs outhit the Pirates 13-1.

Hedges had two hits, two runs scored, and four runs batted in.  Jadison Ackerman added three hits including a double driving in four runs.  Caitlyn Cooper and Kailey Rich added two hits each.

Adisyn Peetoom (3-2) worked five innings and struck out 10 allowing just one run on one hit.

Game 2

In Game 2, Faith Williams blasted two home runs and drove in five runs while Cooper and Hedges had one each in a 14-6 five-inning win.

The Mavs pounded out 20 hits, Hedges and Hailey Schutz had four hits each while Williams and Cooper had three hits each.  Riley Westmoreland and Saffron Bowie had two hits each.  

Angel Franklin (1-0) earned the win with two innings of one hit relief.

What's Next:  The Mavs are in a festival at Carl Albert Friday and Saturday with two games against Carl Albert and Southwest Tennessee.
