ARKANSAS CITY, Kansas --  NOC hit eight home runs on Tuesday in a doubleheader split at Cowley (KS).

In Game 1, the Mavs hit four home runs but lost to Cowley 7-6.

Breeanna Gomez hit two bombs and drove in three while Paiton Hedges hit a two-run shot and Justyce Booker hit a solo shot.

Riley Westmoreland added two hits and one stolen base for the Mavs.

Adisyn Peetoom went the distance allowing seven runs on 12 hits, striking out three.

Game 2

In Game 2, the Mavs continued the power barrage against Cowley with four more home runs in a 13-1 win.

Breeanna Gomez also homered in an 11 hit NOC attack. 

Kaidince Calvert (3-1) earned the win working four innings allowing one run.  Angel Franklin worked a scoreless 5th for the Mavs.

What's Next:  The Mavs host Independence (KS) in the home opener Thursday at 2 p.m./4 p.m.
