HILLSBORO, Texas -- NOC Mavs Softball swept Hill (TX) Friday in Hillsboro, Texas, 6-4 and 16-5.
In Game 1, a Breanna Gomez 7th inning ground out scored Riley Westmoreland breaking a 4-4 tie and then a Faith Williams solo home run added insurance giving the Mavs a 6-4 win.
Gomez homered earlier in Friday's game, she had three rbi's in the game. Williams had three hits including a double and 7th the inning home run.
Adysen Peetoom (1-1) earned her first win of the season striking out 12, allowing four runs on six hits.
In Game 2, the Mavs pounded Hill for 17 hits in a 16-5 win.
Williams once again led the way with three hits including a home run and six runs batted in.
Westmoreland had three hits including two doubles while Madyson Austin had three hits including a triple. Jadison Ackerman homered and drove in three while Brooklyn Ray homered as well driving in two.
Kaidince Calvert earned the win in the circle allowing five runs on eight hits.
What's Next: The Mavs (2-2) are at Pratt (KS) on Feb. 11 for a doubleheader.
