Teagen Honer's sharp ground ball scored Margaret Landes with the go-ahead run in the seventh as the Mavs walked off an improbable 5-4 win over Western.
The Mavs tied the game at 4-4 when Landes' infield hit scored Jasmine Warriner.
The final inning started with a pop up and fly out but Warriner's fly to center was misplayed, the Maverick center fielder winding up at third. Landes then singled on the infield scoring the tying run. After Meagan Bellar singled, Honer drove in the go-ahead run.
NOC scored two runs in the second and a single run in the fourth.
Landes had two of the Mavs' three hits, Bellar had the other.
Emma Enderud earned the win out of the Mavs' bullpen allowing two hits over two innings. Lynsey Ailey was the starter allowing three earned runs over five innings.
The Mavs (26-21) face the NOC Enid-Seminole winner at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
