Xon Williams and M.J. Miller combined for 57 points in a 102-98 double overtime loss to Eastern Monday night in the final home game of the season.

The Mavs led 37-32 at half and led by as many as nine at 58-49 before Eastern rallied in the second half.  The Mavs then took a 79-76 lead with :37.7 left but Eastern hit three free throws to tied the game at 76-76 after regulation.

in the first overtime, Eastern built an 88-85 lead late but Williams was fouled on a 3-pointer and calmly hit all three forcing a second overtime at 88-88.

The Mavs held a brief 94-92 lead in the second overtime  but Eastern went on a 6-0 run to take a 98-94 lead.

NOC climbed to within 100-98 on a Williams lay-up but Eastern hit two free throws to seal the 102-98 win.

Miller added 10 rebounds and seven assists.  Michael Checkley added seven rebounds in 14 minutes.

Honored on sophomore night were Xon Williams, Caison Cole, Ryan Rodriguez, Jordan Reed, Ebi Bortey, and Jaxton Bobik along with athletic trainer Heath Howell.

The Mavs (14-15) fell to 4-11 in league while Eastern (18-11) improved to 7-8 in league.

What's Next:  The Mavs end the regular season Thursday at Murray State in Tishomingo at 7:30 p.m.
