ALTUS, Okla. --  NOC picked up a big road win Monday night at Western 80-76.

The Mavs (14-10) were led by Jarvis Palmer with 18.  Xon Williams added 15 while Jaydon Awe added 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Palmer added seven assists.

The Mavs improved to 4-6 in league while the Pioneers (14-5) fell to 3-4 in league.

NOC jumped out to a big lead taking a 42-28 lead into the dressing room at half.  Northern maintained a double figure lead and then withstood a late Western run to earn the key road win.

"The guys came out ready to battle and bought into the game plan," said coach Brandon Gossett.  "We had multiple guys step up and we were able to avenge a tough loss to Western at home (lost on last second halfcourt shot) the last go around.  Proud of our efforts but we have plenty to work on going forward."

What's Next:  The Mavs are at Seminole on Monday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m.
