WARNER, Okla. -- Xon Williams led five double figure scorers in a 79-72 win at Connors Saturday in Warner.

The Mavs (12-8) improved to 2-4 in conference while Connors 9-6) dropped to 3-4.

Williams had 17 for the Mavs while Jaydon Awe and Caison Cole had 15 each.  DJ Howell added 14 and Jarvis Palmer 10.

Awe led the Mavs on the glass with nine while Cole added eight.  

"It's always good to get a road win," said coach Brandon Gossett.  "Connors cut into our second half lead but we were ultimatley able to pull away becasue of our defense and offensive execution.  We also made our free throws late as well."

The Mavs shot 49% from the floor and 44% from 3-Point range.

The Mavs host Murray State Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
