GREAT BEND, Kansas --  Ryan Rodriguez had 19 points in a 94-83 win over Colby (KS) in the Barton Booster Classic in Great Bend, Kansas.

Also reaching double figures for the Mavs were DJ Howell with 17, MJ Miller with 13, and Caison Cole 11.

Dorian Johnson led the Mavs on the boards with six and added three steals.

"The guys came out ready to go, and we were able to control most of the game," said coach Brandon Gossett.   "Colby went on a run in the second half, but our defensive consistency was able to wear them out, along with our season high 10 made threes."

The Mavs led throughout but couldn't quite shake Colby untill pulling away late in the second half.

The Mavs face #17 Barton on Saturday of the two day classic.
