MENA, Arkansas --  NOC Tonkawa spllit a doubleheader with UA Rich Mountain Wednesday in Mena, Arkansas.

The Mavs were 4-1 winners in Game 1 and dropped the nightcap 6-3.

The Mavs (15-19) are 3-11 in conference play while UARM (14-22) is 3-7 in league action.

In Game 1, the Mavs rallied for four 7th inning runs in a 4-1 over UA Rich Mountain.

Trailing 1-0 in the 7th, Bodee Mausser was hit by a pitch followed by a single by Aidan LeMasters.  An Enrique Munir Diaz single scored Mausser tying the score at 1-1.

With one out, Easton John walked to load the bases and then Jacob Bennett singled scoring LeMasters and Diaz and the Mavs led 3-1.  Braden Hernandez then finished off the scoring with a single scoring John giving NOC a 4-1 lead.

Max Coughlin earned his first save with a scoreless 7th.

Collin Berry (1-0) worked six strong innings allowing just one run on one hit while striking out six.

In Game 2, Preston Gajewski hit a solo hone run in a 6-3 loss to Rich Mountain.

Hernandez and Diaz added two hits each while Mausser added a double.  Robert Evans added an rbi for NOC.

Tristen Russell (1-1) and Corey Jordan combined to work eight innings allowing six runs on 10 hits.

What's Next:  The Mavs host UA Rich Mountain Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m./3:30 p.m. in a conference doubleheader.
