ALTUS, Oklahoma --  NOC Tonkawa opened conference play at Western dropping two to the Pioneers.

In Game 1, the Mavs led Western 6-4 before Western scored eight runs in the 6th to take a 12-9 win over the Mavs.

Robert Evans and Aidan LeMasters had two hits each, Evans and Jacob Gallegos homered for the Mavs.  Enrique Munir Diaz doubled and drove home three runs.

Tres Lorah and Corey Jordan (0-1) combined to allow seven earned runs on eight hits.

In Game 2, Western broke open a 4-4 tie with 15 runs over the final three innings to win 18-6.

Braden Hernandez homered for the Mavs, Noah Olivera drove in two runs.

Brady Broeckel (0-2), Rhett Spiers, and Kase Lindly worked for the Mavs.
