In the first game, the Mavs pounded NICC 13-3 as Preston Gajewski had two hits including a double and five runs batted in.  

The Mavs had seven hits but used 14 walks and eight stolen bases to spark the offense.

Cade Dickinson (2-1) earned the win in relief working 2.2 innings of one hit baseball striking out five.  Kolson Edge started for the Mavs with Corey Jordan closing the game with two innings of work.

In Game 2, the Mavs won an 18-13 slugfest to complete the weekend sweep.

Aidan LeMasters had three hits including two home runs and five runs batted in for the Mavs while Bodee Mausser had two hits and drove in five.  Jacob Gallegos added three runs batted in while Gajewski added two.

Brady Broeckel (1-1) earned the win in relief working three innings allowing two earned runs on two hits.

What's Next:  The Mavs (12-8) are at Western to open conference play Thursday, March 12 and host the Pioneers on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m./3:30 p.m.
