NOC Tonkawa earns 9-8 win over Olney Central

KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- NOC Tonkawa split a pair of games Saturday against Olney Central.  The Mavs split the four game set in Kansas City.

In Game 1, Preston Gajewski and Jacob Gallegos had two hits and two runs batted in each in a 10-9 win over Olney Central on Saturday.

Gajewski and Braden Hernandez homered for the Mavs.

Hernandez two-run home run in the 6th wound up being the game winner.

Austin Wylie (2-0) worked the final 1.2 innings in back of Barrett Kasprowicz, and Jackson Oppy.  

In Game 2, The Mavs rallied from 12-4 down with four runs in the 9th but lost 12-8.

Aidan LeMasters Braden Hernandez, and Enrique Munir Diaz homered for the Mavs, Luke Douglas added three hits.  

Diaz led the Mavs with four runs batted in.  

Kolson Edge started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Cade Dickinson, Kase Lindly, and Caden Orr.

What's Next:  The Mavs (8-8) host Northeast Iowa on March 7-8.
