Mavs fall twice in Dallas

DALLAS, Texas -- NOC Tonkawa dropped two games at Dallas Eastfield 5-4 and 5-1 on Saturday completing the four game series.

The Mavs were 1-3 on the Dallas trip.

In Game 1, the Mavs fell 5-4 in extra innings.

The Mavs trailed 4-2 but scored two runs in the 6th to tie the game at 2-2.  

A Robert Evans double scored Aidan LeMasters and then an Easton John sacrifice fly scored Weston Cox tying the game at 4-4.

A Braden Hernandez double scored LeMasters and John in the 4th giving NOC its first two runs.

Kolson Edge worked five innings allowing two earned runs on one hit.  Edge struck out three and walked four.

Brady Broeckel (0-1) worked 2.2 innings allowing one run on three hits.

In Game 2, the Mavs scored one run in the 7th and lost 5-1.

Bodee Mausser had the lone run batted in for the Mavs.  Mausser, Braden Hernandez, Enrique Munir Diaz, and Decker Davis had hits for the Mavs.

Jakeb Koop worked five innings allowing two runs on three hits.  Caden Orr and Max Coughlin worked out of the Mavs bullpen.

What's Next:  The Mavs (6-6) face Olney Central (IL) for games Feb. 27-28 in Kansas City.
