NOC Tonkawa dropped two games to Southwestern (IA) on Friday which split the four game set at 2-2.

The Spartans were 5-4 and 16-5 winners.

Game 1

In Game 1, the Mavs lost to Southwestern (IA) 5-4.

The Mavs-Spartans match-up was tied at 4-4 until Southwestern pushed across the go-ahead in the 8th.

Jakeb Koop started for the Mavs allowing four runs on seven hits in six innings.  Jackson Oppy and Brady Broeckel worked in relief.

Easton John homered for the Mavs while Enrique Munir Diaz and Kolbe Mills had three hits each.  

Game 2

In Game 2, the Mavs got down early 9-3 and lost 16-5.

Kolbe Mills led the Mavs with three hits while Easton John had two runs batted in.

Jacob Gallegos homered for the Mavs.

Caden Orr started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Kolson Edge, Austin Wylie, and Brady Broeckel.

What's Next:  The Mavs (5-3) are in Dallas Feb. 20-21 to face Dallas College Enfield.
