NOC swept Iowa Lakes Saturday taking the opening season series from the Lakers.
The Mavs (3-1) won Saturday's games 7-6 and 9-6.
Game 1
NOC built a 7-2 lead and then hung for the 7-6 win over Iowa Lakes.
Jakeb Koop (1-0) earned the win working 3.2 innings with bullpen help from Barrett Kasprowicz, Tres Lorah, and Austin Wylie. Wylie worked a scoreless 7th to earn the save.
Noah Olivera drove in two runs and Kolbe Mills three for the Mavs.
Game 2
The Mavs trailed 4-2 before scoring three runs in the 5th and four runs in the 6th to earn the 9-6 win.
Braden Hernandez had two hits including a double and five runs batted in for the Mavs. Barrett Kasprowicz had two hits and three runs batted in. Robert Evans and Enrique Munir Diaz had two hits each.
Caden Orr (1-0) earned the win in relief of Brady Broeckel. Austin Wylie saved his second game of the day striking out the final Laker hitter in the 7th.
What's Next: The Mavs host Southwestern (IA) on Feb. 13-14 in a four game series.
